Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly through our services:

• Free AI Visibility Check: Business name, city, business type, email address, website (optional), and competitor names (optional).
• Paid Diagnostic Report: The above plus any additional details you provide through our intake form.
• Guide Download: First name and email address.
• Payment Information: Processed directly by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details.
• Coach: Questions you ask, conversation history, and AI-generated responses within the Coach advisory tool.
• Sprint and Ongoing: Google Business Profile data accessed on your behalf during active service engagements, including profile content, review data, and performance metrics.

We also automatically collect limited technical data when you visit our site: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This data is collected via server logs and is not linked to your identity.

How We Use Your Information

• To deliver the AI visibility check and diagnostic report you requested.
• To send you the free guide you opted into.
• To communicate with you about your report or account.
• To improve our services based on aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Local Vitals. Each receives only the minimum data needed to perform its function:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Your payment information goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. Stripe Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI (ChatGPT) — We send your business name and city to check your AI visibility. OpenAI Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic (Claude) — We send your business name and city to check your AI visibility. Anthropic Privacy Policy.
• Perplexity — We send your business name and city to check your AI visibility. Perplexity Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Database and authentication for client accounts and Coach. Your diagnostic data and Coach conversations are stored in Supabase. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — Website hosting. Vercel Privacy Policy.

Cookies & Tracking

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We may use essential cookies required for site functionality (such as maintaining your session). We do not participate in cross-site tracking or retargeting.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services:

• Free check data: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
• Paid report data: Retained for 1 year to allow you to re-access your report, then deleted.
• Email/guide data: Retained until you unsubscribe, at which point it is deleted within 30 days.
• Payment records: Retained as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years), stored by Stripe.
• Coach conversation data: Retained for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation, then deleted.
• Sprint and Ongoing service data: Retained for 1 year after service ends, then deleted.

Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your personal data (right to be forgotten).
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Opt out of any marketing emails at any time.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
• The right to request deletion of your personal information.
• The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

Children's Privacy

Local Vitals is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and secure cloud infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
